Leg Care
Dr. Hufnagel last year wrote a leg care paper for pilots and those who
fly on planes. Everyone should read this paper.
- If you have bad veins on your legs get them treated . There
are many treatments today to remove these. They can be lasered and injected.
- If you sit long periods consider your self at risk. So pilots, people
that fly a lot, those sitting at computers. I designed a pump pad for
the floor for pilots. You need to move your legs and pump them . Up on
toes and down. Walk. You have to get up and walk don't just sit. In lectures
I sit on the floor with my legs out straight to reduce stasis . And I
move about. Attending classes don't just sit there for hours.
If you have had any history of clots or a family history take baby asprin
- Aspirin daily. Also Vitamin E supplemented.
